Registration begins today for the winter term at Sevier Valley Applied Technology Center in Richfield. Classes begin Monday, Nov. 29.

The institution is offering 20 courses designed to meet the needs of both high school and adult students. Many of the courses are open-entry/open-exit so students may enroll any school day throughout the year.Although most programs operate on the open-entry/open-exit basis, students interested in nursing and some business classes will need to be aware of and plan to enroll on specific enrollment dates. Three major enrollment periods correspond with trimesters at North Sevier, South Sevier and Richfield high schools in Sevier County. These extend for 60 days.

Courses offered at the school include industrial electricity, commercial art, applied math, applied physics, diesel mechanics, applied manufacturing, secretarial and clerical, accounting, practical nursing, auto body, computers, multimedia production, graphics, food services, auto mechanics, farm/ranch management, machine tools, drafting, electronics, building trades, cosmetology and welding.
