It's kind of hard to see it end, but the final week of the 1993 edition of Deseret News Grid Picks is now history. The final results are still being tabulated and will be announced Sunday, Nov. 28.

The top weekly winner for games on Nov. 20 is Ray Gross of Salt Lake. Only he and Mark Driggs of Orem scored a ten, there were no 11s or 12s, just lots of upsets and upset constestants.Gross scored 18 on the tie-breaker, edging out Driggs with a 31. Gross will receive $100, two bonus points, a Grid Picks T-shirt plus a Domino's Pizza.

Sixteen contestants predicted nine games correctly. The nine making it into the runner-up column along with Driggs are: (tie-breaker score follows city of residence) Lynne Waller, Salt Lake, 4; Debra Mace, West Valley City, 6; Mike Carter, Salt Lake, 9; Bob Lott, Orem, 14; Debra Ericksen, Murray, 15; Joseph Hurst, Salt Lake, 18; Dean Farnsworth, West Valley City, 18; Matt Brass, Salt Lake, 18 and Jonathan Saunders, Ogden, 18.

Each of the runners-up receives the Grid Picks T-shirt and the free pizza. All 11 winners and their scores will now be factored into the cumulative game, the winer of which will receive a trip for two to the Holiday Bowl.

The grand-prize winner is determined from among the past weekly winners over the 13 weeks of the contest, making 143 in all. The contestant with the most cumulative points is the grand-prize winner. In the event of a tie, a random drawing will be held.
