Three University of Utah professors, Lee L. Bean, Kyle L. Bunch and Adrian Giurgea, have received Fulbright scholarships for the 1993-94 academic year..
Serving as professor of sociology and director of the Middle East Center, Bean is in his 11th year at the U. His grant is for research at the Cairo Demographic Center in Egypt and in the Higher Institute of Public Health in Alexandria, Egypt, from March to November 1994.Bunch, in his third year at the U., is a research assistant professor in the department of electrical engineering. He will be lecturing at the Technical University of Lodz in Poland, February through July 1994.
Giurgea, assistant professor to the department of theater, is in his third year at Utah. His grant will be used while he lectures at the Academy of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, Romania, October 1993 to August 1994.
