Juab County Sheriff David Carter recently was presented with a distinguished service award for outstanding professional service as a member of the Concealed Weapon Review Board.
The award was presented at a luncheon at the Public Safety Building in Salt Lake City by the Utah Department of Public Safety Division of Law Enforcement and Technical Services.Carter has been a member of the review board for seven years and was originally appointed by Commissioner Doug Bodrero.
The Concealed Weapons Review Board is part of the Utah Department of Public Safety Division of Law Enforcement and Technical Services. When a person applies for a concealed weapon and it is refused by state licensing, the review board determines if the decision was appropriate.
