Many overweight women are reluctant to undergo pelvic examinations that detect the two cancers and some physicians are reluctant to examine them, a study by researchers at the University of Connecticut indicates.Interviews showed 32 percent of moderately overweight women are reluctant to undergo pelvic exams, as are 41 percent of very obese women. The researchers also found 17 percent of gynecologists dislike doing the exams for overweight women.
