A woman in a Boise State University dance group was listed in serious condition after being shot in front of her home during a domestic argument, police say.

Carlene Nichols, 23, was shot in the upper left chest with a .357-caliber pistol at about 6:46 p.m. Friday, Boise Police Lt. Mike Webb said. Sean Rockne, 25, who lives at her residence, was being questioned.Rockne said he shot at an unoccupied parked car through the window and the bullet accidentally hit Nichols, police reported. She was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Center where she was listed in serious condition Saturday, a nursing supervisor said.
