Howard Lynn Lund, age 73, died February 12, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah of a heart attack. He is a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Howard was born July 30, 1919 in Price, Utah to Aurelia and Anthon H. Lund and married Gwen Cameron on September 4, 1953. He received undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Utah and did graduate work at Georgetown Law School. His professional experiences included clerking for the U.S. Court of Claims and a law practice in San Jose, California. Howard was a member of the LDS Church, served a mission in Switzerland, and was a branch president while living in Japan. Howard was known for his generosity and love of people.He is survived by his wife, Gwen; his six children, David Truslow, Tony Lund, Cyndie Hyde, Kendell Colvin, Jennifer Payne, and Cameron Lund; his brother, Kenneth Lund; three sisters, Beverly Murphy, Joy Martin, and Tonie Krainock; and 14 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 1993 at 12 noon at the Holladay 14th Ward Chapel, 4917 South Viewmont (2100 East), Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Holladay, and Wednesday at the ward one hour prior to the services. Interment at Holladay Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be sent to the LDS missionary fund.
