Our sweet, loving little mother and grandmother, Rebecca Aileen Ashbaker Hubbard, age 77, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 1993 in a Salt Lake hospital from a recent illness.

She was loved and adored by all who knew her because of her never-ending unselfishness and devotion to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.She was born November 10, 1915 in Grace, Idaho to Charles and Esther Ashbaker. She married Robert W. Hubbard on July 26, 1939 in the Cardston Alberta Canada LDS Temple following her completion of an LDS mission to the Northwestern States. Her husband died June 6, 1986. She had been residing in Salt Lake City, but was originally from Soda Springs, Idaho. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she faithfully served as a devoted support to her husband's many leadership positions, as well as fulfilling many callings as secretary in the stake Primary, as counselor and teacher in Primary, Relief Society and Mutual and served as a temple worker in the Logan Temple. She and her husband served an LDS mission together in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1975-78.

Her greatest joy in her life was her family. She was the mother of six children and their spouses; Brent (Karen), Pocatello, Idaho; Cheryl (Lynn) Arbuckle, Fruit Heights, Utah; MarGene (David) Snow, Farmington; Evelyn (Gene) Banks, Salt Lake City; David (Ruth Ann) and Randy (Linda), Soda Springs, Idaho. She had 33 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; she is also survived by five sisters, Lula Lich and Lucille Tippetts, Hemet, Calif.; Ada Harker, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Ann Paskins and Roma Roghaar, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, four brothers, Freeman, Lloyd, Willard and Harley, and two sisters Lillian and Mable.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m. at the Soda Springs Stake Center; viewing will be held Tuesday, 7-9 p.m at the Sims Mortuary, Soda Springs, Idaho; also Wednesday prior to service 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the Soda Springs Stake Center.
