Mary Cleyo Ashton Firmage died Friday, February 12, 1993 at the age of 98 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born January 16, 1895 in Gannett, Idaho to Margaretta Gibson Ashton and Alfred Ashton. She was preceded in death by sisters Pearl Meine and Beth Olsson; brother Clyde Ashton; her husband, Andy Firmage; and her daughter, Cleyon Miller. She married Andrew Adamson Firmage, December 23, 1914 and they raised two children, Andrew Darrell and Cleyon Retta, while moving from Salt Lake City to Heber City, to Cedar City, and to Logan, with J.C. Penney Company; then on to Fresno, California for one year before she insisted on coming home to Salt Lake City where they made homes at 917 Military Drive, 1133 South 1400 East, and finally at 2090 Yale Avenue.She is survived by son, Andrew Darrell Firmage and wife Hilda Rickenbach; five grandsons, Robert Firmage and wife Gertrud Hofler; Richard Firmage, all of Salt Lake; Roderick Firmage and wife Claudia Black, Heron, Montana; Roger Firmage and wife Lani Summerhays; and Calvin Miller; two granddaughters, Linda Firmage Doron and husband Michael, all of Salt Lake; and Cathy Miller Moss and husband Ray, Sandy; along with 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Tuesday, February 16th, at 12 noon, Monument Park 2nd Ward Chapel, 1005 South 2000 East, with viewing 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery under direction of Larkin Mortuary.
