Utah State University Professor Reed Warren will present a lecture, "An Immunogenetic and Viral Hypothesis for Autism and Attentional Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder," on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 2:30 p.m. in the USU Business Building Auditorium, Room 215. The event is free and open to the public.

Warren's research on the role genetics and immune factors may play in autism, attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity will be the basis of the lecture. He joined the USU biology department faculty and the Exceptional Child Center (now the Center for Persons With Disabilities) in 1982.He has published more than 90 scientific articles and was the 1991 recipient of the D. Wynn Thorne Award for Outstanding Research at USU. He also served on a grant review panel for the National Institutes of Health for four years.
