Members of the international track and field community aren't the only ones looking for answers from Ben Johnson. Apparently, so are the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The Tiger-Cats are reported to have put the Toronto sprinter on their negotiation list, giving them first crack at signing him to a CFL contract. The CFL could be a viable alternative for Johnson, who received a lifetime suspension Friday from the International Amateur Athletics Federation for a second positive drug test.
Tiger-Cats president John Michaluk would not confirm or deny Johnson's addition to Hamilton's negotiation list.
"One, we don't discuss our negotiations list, and two we haven't talked to Ben," Michaluk said. "We know Ben can run and he has always been popular in Hamilton. He would look good running in black in gold."
