PROVO HIGH SENIOR IS SELECTED TO JOIN STUDENTS FROM AROUND NATION AT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Kam Valgardson, a Provo High School senior, has been selected to attend the National Young Leaders Conference from March 16 to 21 in Washington, D.C.

He will be among 350 outstanding high school students from across the nation at the conference sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council. Students are selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership and citizenship.The theme of the conference is "the Leaders of Tomorrow Meeting the Leaders of Today." Throughout the six-day conference, students will meet with key leaders and newsmakers from the three branches of government, the media and the diplomatic corps. They will also be introduced and welcomed on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.
