Former Vice President Spiro T. Agnew has donated his papers to the University of Maryland. Agnew has sent 56 boxes of files to the College Park campus, but they won't be available to scholars for years due to the need for itemizing, cataloging and cross referencing. Agnew, Richard Nixon's veep, resigned in 1973 after pleading no contest to charges he evaded taxes and took kick-backs.
