A live animal fair, laboratory tours, student research demonstrations and a genetics symposium are all part of this year's Biology and Agriculture Week at Brigham Young University March 12-20.

The annual event coincides with National Agriculture Day, which will be celebrated March 20. Most events are free to the public. They include:- Live animal fair and demonstration Friday, March 12, open to the public from 3 to 6 p.m. Tours of laboratories and other facilities for high school students.

- Bio-Ag 5K Fun Run on Saturday, March 13, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Quad north of the Smith Fieldhouse.

- Displays Monday through Friday, March 15-19, in the Wilkinson Center Stepdown Lounge.

- Oral presentations on student research will begin Wednesday, March 17, at 2 p.m. in 321 Wilkinson Center. Display of research posters in the Wilkinson Center Gallery, Tuesday through Friday, March 16-19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Symposium on "The Genetic Revolution," Friday, March 19, in the Varsity Theater.

- Country dance Friday night from 8:30 p.m. to midnight in the Smith Family Living Center Stepdown Lounge.
