Park City's Alison Vort took first place in the junior national freestyle skiing ballet on Thursday.

The U.S. Junior National Freestyle Championships continue at Utah ski resorts through Saturday.Vort won the female J1, finishing ahead of Lori Davenport from the East Division and Jacki Carlson of the Central Division.

In the male J1, Todd Ossian (Rockie Mountain) finished first, followed by Gabe Lauper (Pacific) and Scott Hebison (East).

Courtney Cannan of the East won the female J2, and Jon Mosely (Far West) won the male J2.

Moguls are being held at Snowbird's Silver Fox run, while the aerial events, both inverted and upright, are being contested at the newly completed Bear Hollow jumps at the Utah Winter Sports Park near Park City.

Moguls were scheduled to wrap up today and aerials are scheduled for tomorrow at Bear Hollow from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Top mogul skiers entered include Todd Schirmen and Dave Berry, both of Park City, and Jill Johnson, also from Park City.
