SHARE TOYMAKER RECALLS WOODEN TRUCKS FOR CHOKING HAZARD

Wang's International Inc., in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, is voluntarily recalling approximately 9,100 "Wooden Christmas Toy Trucks" because they pose a choking hazard.

The CPSC said the wooden trucks, model number X4848, come in a set of six - two dump trucks, a roller truck, crane, cement mixer and ladder truck.When tested, the drivers and other truck parts separated, presenting a choking hazard to young children, the agency said.

Each truck measures 51/2 inches long, 2 inches wide, 23/4 inches high, and has a natural wood finish with no paint. The label underneath each truck reads, in part: "Wang's International Inc. Made in China."

The CPSC urged consumers to return the trucks to the stores where they were purchased for a full refund. While no injuries have been reported, CPSC said the recall is being conducted to prevent injury. For more information, consumers can contact Charlotte Allison at 1-800-829-2647.
