Several parking lots and streets will be temporarily closed on the Brigham Young University campus, near the soon-to-be completed art museum and on South Campus Drive.

The parking lot north of the art museum and the Harris Fine Arts Center will be closed from March 15 to July 1 for cleanup and installation of a concrete surface, according to Steve Baker of University Police's traffic office.Once completed, the parking lot will be designated for university and some visitor parking.

Also, South Campus Drive will be closed for approximately two years to accommodate construction of the new science building. The road will be closed during the first part of April.

During the construction period, regular traffic will not be allowed on South Campus Drive between the Hosting Center and the McDonald Health Center.

The closure will make the parking lot east of the Joseph Smith Building and the small service lot near the Nicholes Building inaccessible to most campus employees and visitors. Also, the parking stalls immediately south of the Widtsoe Building and the Testing Center will be closed to regular traffic.
