Kelsey Hayden competes in bowling during the 1993 Special Olympics Utah Winter Games for athletes with mental retardation. The event kicked off Thursday and ends today. About 900 athletes from across the state have competed in bowling, floor hockey, alpine skiing, figure skating, speed skating and nordic skiing. Sports are the main event, but participants also have found time to socialize, including a victory dinner and dance Friday.
