The 163rd Annual General Conference of the Church, to which all members are invited, will convene in the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday and Sunday, April 3 and 4, 1993. The Saturday general sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Mountain Standard Time; and the Sunday sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Mountain Daylight Time.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Salt Lake Temple, a special transmission of a new film The Mountain of the Lord will be scheduled between conference sessions via satellite on Saturday, April 3, 12:30 p.m.-1:45 p.m. MST (one hour and fifteen minutes). All those attending Saturday sessions in stake centers are invited to remain for this transmission. This film will also be broadcast by KSL-TV on Saturday, April 3, at 12 noon MST and by KBYU-TV on Sunday, April 4, at 7 p.m. MDT.The General Priesthood Meeting will be held in the Tabernacle on Saturday, April 3, 1993, at 6 p.m. MST.
In those areas where members of the Church can conveniently attend the conference in Salt Lake City, or participate via radio, television, or satellite transmission, they should be encouraged to do so. Under these circumstances, the usual Sunday meetings need not be held on April 4.
In areas where only one Sunday session is broadcast, local leaders have the option to readjust meeting schedules or, where appropriate, to rearrange the agenda of regularly scheduled meetings to permit their members to listen to or watch general conference on radio, television, or by satellite transmission.
