Free tickets will be given away to Deseret News readers next week for a special screening of "The Sandlot," a piece of nostalgia about kids who play sandlot baseball together.
The movie is set in 1962 and the ragtag team of nine boys make for something of an update of the old "Our Gang" comedies as they pull together to retrieve a ball being held hostage by a monster junkyard dog.The screening of the PG-rated 20th Century Fox film will be Wednesday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cineplex Odeon Broadway Centre Cinemas.
A "Free Tickets" ad will appear in the Deseret News on Sunday, March 21. Simply clip the ad (no photocopies, please) and bring it to the Deseret News office, 30 E. 100 South, on Monday after 8:30 a.m.
The100 tickets will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one pass (each for two people) per person, please.
