Florence Karen Hansen Steenblik, 90, passed away March 19, 1993.
Born May 19, 1902 to Lars and Rasmine Hansine Petersen Hansen. Married Gerrit (Jerry) Steenblik September 17, 1924 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1961.She served in various auxiliaries of the LDS Church for over 60 years. She served in the Primary Association over 30 years, was Stake Primary President for 11 years, and taught the social relations lessons in Relief Society. She worked with and taught the blind children at the Primary Hospital for 11 years and was on the Board of Trustees of the Primary Children's Hospital. She was an avid gardener with a special love for flowers.
She is survived by her son, Gerrit H. (Lois Nielsen), Donna (Raymond) Rogers, and Ilene (Vern) Gorzitzo; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mayme Dallimore, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 1993, 12 noon at the Riverside Stake Center, 1100 West 500 North. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, and at the church on Tuesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
