Junius Albert Black, 76, died March 20, 1993 in Sandy, Utah.

Born May 13, 1916 in Monticello, Utah to George Albert and Ruth Gale Black. Employed by Remington Arms Plant, Union Pacific, Mountain Fuel Supply, Utah Oil Refinery, U of U as groundskeeper, and retired from Salt Lake County Drug and Alcohol Division as senior counselor and court probation officer. An LDS Elder. Member of A.A., he served on board of directors of First Stephouse. He was a loving husband to Dolores Coburn, Lucille Ford, and presently to LaVon Neff.He was father to Sharon (Mrs. Robert) Potter; Dolores (Mrs. Larry) Liddell; Scott Black; Dan Black; D. Glazier and wife J.J.; and Gaye Williamson; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Merle Black; sister, Marjorie (Mrs. George) Bishop; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services Wednesday, March 24, 1993, at 11 a.m. in the Mount Jordan 2nd Ward Chapel, 9331 South 300 East. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Wednesday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Crescent Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Salvation Army for Shelter for the Homeless.
