The Park City Academic Decathlon team -- Cathy Etherington, Katie Fisher, Kristian Hale, Laura Little, Eric Fulmer, Jesse Davis, Jed Merrill, coach John Krenkel and Alexander Stein (team member Cori Smith is missing from photo) - is back at the top of the heap this year. For the fourth time, the Park City High School contingent has beaten all of its competitors statewide to claim the scholastic honor. Last year's first-place winner, Alta High School, slipped to second this year in the competition, which was held recently in St. George. Orem High School took third place. Each participating high school fields a team with mixed academic standing. In all, 26 teams took part in the St. George finals this year. The coaches for the Park City team are John Sanders, Sharon Maddux, Brian Anderson and Krenkel.
