It appears that NBC plans to follow the lead of its parent company, General Electric, and go into the manufacturing business - manufacturing news, that is. They are, of course, a Janie-come-lately in making this move: Other U.S. big media, both electronic and print, have been manufacturing news for years.
I understand, however, that there is no truth to the rumor the peacock network will launch a new "magazine" show - to air April 1 - entitled "NBC Fakeline."Paul H. Schneiter
