Bernice Newton Thomas, age 85, died March 3, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born October 6, 1907 in Salt Lake City to Elmer G. and Laura Newton Thomas. She attended school in Salt Lake, Texas, and Ohio. Received a Master's degree in Physical Education from Columbia University.Served in the American Red Cross during World War II. Member of Ladies Literary Club of Salt Lake. Member of LDS Church.
Survived by a sister, Adrienne Smith of Reno, Nevada; 4 nieces and one nephew.
Graveside services on Saturday, March 6th, at 12 noon, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue & N Street. Family and friends will gather at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, at 11:30 am prior to leaving for the cemetery.
