Southern Utah University will be offering a number of special classes at off-campus sites during spring quarter along with a new on-campus business course tied to both undergraduate and graduate studies.

The new business course at Southern Utah University will provide a vital link for students seeking a master of business ad-min-is-tra-tion degree.Production and Management (BA 310) was taught fall quarter and will become a permanent part of SUU's class offerings beginning spring quarter.

It will be a required class for a bachelor's degree in business and a prerequisite to enter the new MBA program at SUU through the sponsorship of Utah State University.

St. George

Seven classes will be offered spring quarter in St. George through the University Centers Program at Southern Utah University.

Conducted cooperatively by SUU and Dixie College, the seven upper-division courses will be conducted beginning March 24-30. They will be taught on the Dixie College campus.

The classes include Foundations for Teachers (EDUC 300); Introduction to the Diagnosis and Remediation of Reading Problems, with accompanying lab (EDUC 410 and EDUC 410L); Interaction in the Classroom and Senior Thesis (EDUC 499); Managerial Finance (FIN 325); Utilization of Literature in the Classroom (IM 318); Advertising (MKTG 393); and Adolescent Development (PSY 322).

The classes each offer three credits, with one credit offered for the EDUC 410 lab. All are scheduled for late afternoons or evenings. Telephone registration procedure can be used for enrolling in the courses by calling 586-7714 or 7716.

Richfield

Three classes in teacher education will be offered at Sevier Valley Tech in Richfield through Southern Utah University's outreach program.

Improvement of Reading Programs, EDUC 414, will be taught by Jerry Bowler Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 p.m. beginning March 25. Creativity in Education, EDUC 437, will meet Fridays from 6:30-9 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon beginning March 26. The course will be taught by Phillip C. Carter.

Suzanne Draayer will teach Music for Elementary Teachers, MUSC 390.

The class will meet Fridays from 6:30-9 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon, beginning April 30.

The cost for each of the courses is $175, and each offers three credits.

Kanab

A class in teacher education will be offered spring quarter in Kanab through Southern Utah University's university centers program.

Art for Elementary Teachers, ART 390, is a three-credit course that will be jointly instructed by SUU art faculty members Martha MacLeish and Perry Stewart. The class will meet at the Kanab Middle School Fridays from 6-9 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. The first class session is set for April 2.
