Our loving wife, mother and grandmother, Dorothy Jean James Wilder, age 59, died March 6, 1993.

Born December 29, 1933 in Salt Lake City, to William John and Norma White James. Married in 1958; later divorced. Married June Wilder, August 8, 1973; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member of LDS Church in which she held many positions. Currently ward Relief Society secretary. She enjoyed working in her yard, quilting, sewing and being a scorekeeper for Salt Lake County Recreation. Her greatest joys were her husband, children and grandchildren. Her cheerful manner and always positive attitude will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.Survived by husband, June; children, Michael Shapiro, Salt Lake City; Vickie Shapiro-Hooten (Herman), West Jordan; Gloria Simpson (Larry); Brad Wilder (Kathy); Janel Wallis (Dale), all of Salt Lake City; Elaine Wilson (Ron), California; 20 grandchildren; sister, Joanne Hanson (Emil), Ogden; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, infant daughter, Leslie Jean, granddaughter, Charity.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11, 1993, 12 noon in the Cannon Stake Center, 934 West Fremont. Friends may call Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Thursday at the church 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1700 East 10600 South.
