Nearly 1,000 4-H Club leaders from the Western states will take part in the 4-H Leaders Forum at the Salt Lake City Downtown Hilton March 10-14.
In keeping with the 4-H Patchwork Promises theme, there are more than 100 workshops featuring the diverse talents of 4-H leaders in the region. According to Becky Mitchell, assistant state 4-H leader at Utah State University, the workshops range from raising guide dog puppies to Dutch oven cooking. Also, Mitchell says, leaders selected by each of the 13 states represented will demonstrate their most successful program during the meeting. Another feature of the forum will be the satellite broadcast of several of the workshops.
The forum will also highlight the international programs offered through 4-H with a Global Bazaar focusing on customs and crafts from around the world.
