WASHINGTON - While being governor is prestigious, Mike Leavitt could go much further - at least in the opinion of Sen. Dale Bumpers, D-Ark.Bumpers took one look at Leavitt in a hearing Thursday and said, "If I had your good looks, I'd run for king."
That left Leavitt speechless as he searched in vain for a comeback before finally launching into his prepared statement on a proposed Utah land exchange.

Bumpers, himself a former governor, previously watched one of his successors who was as young and good-looking as Leavitt go far. That happened to be Bill Clinton.
