Willard Maiben Stephenson, age 76, died May 5, 1993 following a heart attack.

Born October 4, 1916 in Delta, Utah, the son of Anthony Edward and Catherine Usslear Johnson Stephenson. He worked in his early years for Miller's Honey Company, until he was called to serve his country in Europe during World War II. Following the War, he started his own honey business, and continued to work in this business which he loved the remainder of his life.He married his sweetheart Clare Luke in the Logan LDS Temple on June 30, 1941. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church his entire life, serving as a missionary in the Western States Mission as a young man, and then in the Baguio, Philippines Mission with his wife. He served on the High Council, two terms as bishop-being released from the second just recently, ordinance worker in the Manti Temple, Stake Patriarch and in many other callings along the way. His most recent calling with his dear wife was to serve as the ward nursery leaders.

He served and loved everyone and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Delta; sons and daughters, Mrs. Kay L. (Renee) McIff, Richfield, Utah; Mrs. Phillip R. (Gwen) Jones, Twin Falls, Idaho; Bruce and Debbie Stephenson, Roseville, Calif.; Roger and Carol Stephenson, Delta; Mrs. Henning J (Ilene) Olsen, Price, Utah; 35 grandchildren; three sisters, Ellen Siggard and Ina Larsen, Brigham City, Utah; and Ruth Bishop, Delta.

Funeral services will be held in the Delta 3rd Ward on Monday, May 10, 1993, at 11 a.m., under the direction of Nickle Mortuary. Friends may call at the Nicklle Mortuary, Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. or at the Delta 3rd Ward Monday, 10-10:45 a.m. Burial, Delta Cemetery.

The family suggests that contributions be made to the church Missionary Fund, or a charity of your choice.
