Irate after another driver cut him off, a Magna man reportedly chased the other driver to his Sandy home and assaulted him before the driver ran into the house and returned with a .357 revolver.
The 46-year-old Sandy man said he had undergone back surgery recently and was afraid he would be seriously injured as he ran toward his house for safety while being assaulted by the man, sheriff reports say.According to the report, when the man refused to leave the property and continued to yell obscenities, the homeowner came outside with a .357 revolver and fired it into the ground away from the man and his vehicle.
The Magna man told deputy sheriffs he became irritated when he was forced to slam on his brakes, causing his wife and children to fall to the floor of their car.
