Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford have filed a libel suit against the National Enquirer over a story saying the couple used a "controversial medical procedure" to increase the chances the baby they're now expecting would be a girl. The article, titled "Kathie Lee's Baby Secret: The High-Tech No-Sex Way She Got Pregnant," appeared in the May 25 issue of the tabloid. Said an indignant Frank: "This article is absolutely complete fiction. Our privacy has been invaded by lies. We would never interfere with God's will and would be equally grateful for any child we are blessed with." The Giffords said they decided to sue after the Enquirer ignored their request for a retraction.
