Salt Lake Mayor Deedee Corradini has been selected as one of 23 mayors nationwide to give advice to leaders of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, officials said.
Corradini was elected to the organization's advisory board Tuesday morning during the closing session of the group's annual meeting in New York City. Others elected include San Francisco Mayor Frank Jordan, Baltimore Mayor Kurt Schmoke and Las Vegas Mayor Jan Laverty Jones.The committee will advise the conference's top officers on which issues are of greatest concern to cities. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Conference of Mayors is a non-partisan group that represents all cities with a population of 30,000 or more.
