SHARE OREM MAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY IN DEATH OF 2-MONTH-OLD SON

A 21-year-old Orem man has pleaded not guilty to a charge that he killed his 2-month-old son by shaking him.

Tony Roy Day entered the plea on Tuesday before 4th District Judge Lynn W. Davis.Day is charged with first-degree felony murder in the April 22 death of Dareld Ostin Day. Prosecutors contend Day was alone with his son, became frustrated with the baby's crying and shook him.

Day called his wife to come home from work and the two took the baby to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, police said.

A trial date was set for Nov. 15.
