SHARE FORMER S.L. EAGLE IS NEW COACH OF RIVERMEN

The Peoria Rivermen of the International Hockey League have named former Salt Lake Golden Eagle Paul MacLean as their new head coach.

MacLean, an 11-year NHL veteran, was a rookie right wing on Salt Lake's 1980-81 team that won the Central Hockey League championship (Adams Cup). Fresh off the Canadian Olympic team that year, he scored 36 goals and 42 assists in 80 regular-season games and 11 goals in 17 playoff games.
