Famed Broadway composer-lyricist Jerry Herman will be the center of attention at a special tribute June 30 at the Hollywood Bowl.
"Jerry Herman's Broadway at the Bowl" will be broadcast live on pay-per-view. A number of stars, accompanied by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and conductor Don Pippin, will perform selections from such Herman works as "Helly, Dolly!," "Mame," "La Cage Aux Folles," "Jerry's Girls" and "Milk & Honey."The gala will feature performances by Carol Channing, Lorna Luft, Beatrice Arthur, Michael Feinstein, Leslie Uggams, Rita Moreno and others.
Angela Lansbury, Paul McCartney and Liza Minnelli will also appear via videotaped messages.
