The more they stay the same. As the Chicago Bulls celebrate their third straight NBA title, our players are getting a sense of deja vu all over again. The Great Race has its own aspirant to three-peat, OTC. And while Air NASDAQ looks like a long shot in last place at $986, he does have history on his side. One year ago, he was in eighth place at $946 and the economy was slow and sluggish, just like now. So, while OTC has more horses to pass in '93, he doesn't have to make as much cash to do it. Looking to do what the Phoenix Suns couldn't are Silver and 30-year T-bond. Silver is still in first at $1,152, but so were the Suns, for the entire regular season. The 30-year T-bond looks more menacing in second at $1,112. But if that won games, Charles Barkley would be the champ. Meanwhile, most racers had a rough week. While five horses made gains, three of them were saver steeds.
