SHARE UTAH MUSICIANS COMPETE WELL AT BLUEGRASS FEST

A group of young Utah musicians hit it big at the 20th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival recently.

In the mandolin competition, a brother and sister from Ogden, Ryan and Tara Shupe, placed second and fourth respectively. Roger Archibald, Spanish Fork, placed second in the guitar contest and 15-year-old Robbie Ricks of Clinton out-fiddled seasoned musicians for first place in the fiddle category.String Fever, a bluegrass band with Robbie Ricks, Tara Shupe, Roger Archibald, Emily Ricks and Daron Shupe, competed against 10 adult bands to win first place.
