A man was released from LDS Hospital Monday after he was shot in the stomach during a gang-related fight at 757 W. 300 North late Sunday.

A Fairpark man remained incarcerated in the Salt Lake County Jail on Monday, pending a charge of attempted criminal homicide.Salt Lake police found a wounded Travis Raso, 22, after an officer spotted his vehicle driving erratically near 800 West and 300 North. The vehicle crashed into the median near there and police found Raso lying on the grass, suffering from a single gunshot wound, Salt Lake Police Lt. Marty Vuyk said.

A witness told police she and a friend were in a car with Raso when he got out of the passenger side near 757 W. 300 North and argued with another man, who ran from a nearby house with a handgun.

Police believe the two argued about a stabbing incident that occurred Saturday, Vuyk said.
