Just when you thought pitching was going to continue dominating the College World Series, Louisiana State used a 10-hit attack and six RBIs by Todd Walker to knock off top-seeded Texas A&M 13-8.

Timely hitting is what Tiger coach Skip Bertman has been preaching to his team, and Walker provided it Sunday night with his two-out grand slam that shut the door on the Aggies. The All-American second baseman was one RBI short of the CWS one-game record.Earlier, Long Beach State's Mike Fontana threw the 24th two-hitter in CWS history as the fourth-seeded 49ers (44-18) sent eighth-seeded Kansas home 6-1.

Long Beach State will meet A&M (53-10) in an elimination game Tuesday. The winner faces fifth-seeded LSU (51-16-1) on Wednesday.
