The Salt Lake Chapter National Organization for Women (NOW) will hold a meeting Wednesday, June 9, at 7:30 p.m. in room 2003N of the Salt Lake County Complex, 2001 S. State.
Bonnie L. Mitchell, a Ph.D. candidate in sociology, will be the speaker at the meeting, "Singing for Our Lives: Voices of Women of Color." Mitchell specializes in race, ethnicity and gender studies, and has given the same presentation at other feminist gatherings.The presentation will focus on the aspects of racism among feminists. Defining problems and approaches to solutions will be discussed. All Salt Lake NOW Chapter meetings are held at no cost to the public.
