CASH IS CHEAPER

We're told never to shop for groceries when we're hungry to avoid overspending. The same thing happens when we pay for groceries with a credit card, according to a report in the Quaker Foresight Newsletter.

In less than two years, the number of supermarkets accepting credit cards has leaped from 800 to 8,500. Visa and MasterCard run promotions to encourage card use for groceries.A MasterCard survey last year found that customers spend $6 more per supermarket trip when using a credit card.
