SHARE DEATH: DAVID HARTLEY GREENWOOD

Hartley was called home July 10, 1993 at the age of 90.

Born November 28, 1902 in Union, Utah. He married Mary Thelma Cox in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Nov. 28, 1928. They made their home in the Sandy-Crescent area, where they raised their family of six children (four sons and two daughters). One of the children, Gale, preceded Hartley in death. Hartley took great satisfaction in his family.Hartley spent his life as a farmer and a dairy farmer. He served an LDS mission in New Zealand. He served as a bishop and a member of the stake High Council. Hartley and Thelma served a mission together in Arizona. He loved to tell stories about his missionary experiences and his life to emphasize how the Lord had blessed him.

Survived by wife, Thelma; children, Lorraine (Mrs. Thomas Shilton); Noal and wife, Claudine; Lynn and wife, Mariet; Val and wife, Peggy; and Colleen (Mrs. Dennis Gailey); 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Orren Greenwood, Vera Casto, Alice McGee, Glen Greenwood, and Irvin Greenwood.

Funeral services Thursday, July 15, 11 a.m., at the Crescent LDS South Stake Center, 251 East 10600 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and at the stake center Thursday one hour prior to services. Burial, Sandy City Cemetery.
