Dolores S. Lee, 69, of Bryan, Texas, formerly of Salt Lake City, passed away July 13, 1993, at her home in Bryan of advanced Parkinson complications.
Dolores was born November 2, 1923, in Hidalgo County, Texas to Joseph and Mary Ellen (Murphy) Stump. She married James Huddart Lee on June 8, 1946, at the Church of Transfiguration in Moose, Wyoming. She helped her husband publish a weekly newspaper in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming from 1946 until 1971. In 1972, Dolores and Jim moved to Salt Lake City where he worked for the Newspaper Agency Corporation. In 1991, they moved to Texas to live with their son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Laurie Lee.She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who took great joy in her two granddaughters and two grandsons.
Survivors include her husband, James Lee, three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Betsy Lee, Bloomington, Minnesota; Scott and Laurie Lee, Bryan, Texas; Michael and Nancy Lee, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; and her brother, Pat Stump, Blair, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
A family memorial service will be held in Bryan, Texas. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Brazos County, 2729A East 29th Street, Bryan, Texas, 77802, or your local Hospice.
