Herbert Herman Plewe passed away July 13, 1993 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah February 1, 1911 to Herman Leopold and Elsie Amanda Gerber Plewe. Married Sarah Johnson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Easter Sunday, April 12, 1936.Preceded in death by his wife, Sally Plewe; brothers, David, Hyrum, Joseph; and sisters, Alice, Ester and Florence.

Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jackie Jorgensen (John), Moberly, Mo.; Mrs. Carol Scott (Steve), Salt Lake City; two sons, Jay Plewe (Della), Mission Viejo, Calif.; Rick Plewe (Bobbi), Salt Lake City; brothers, Jared, John; sister, Erma; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a High Priest and a member of the Stake High Council, Finance and Building Committees and various leadership and teaching positions. Served full-time mission to the German Austria Mission 1933 to 1935, and as a church building missionary to Cardston Alberta Canada 1941 to 1944.

Founder and President of Herbert Plewe Construction Co., Inc., general contractors in Salt Lake City, Utah. He took great comfort in his children and grandchildren, and delighted in creating beautiful gardens for the enjoyment of neighbors and passers-by at his beloved home on South Temple.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 19, 1993 at 1 p.m. at the Salt Lake 11th Ward, 951 East 1st So. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m., at the church Monday from 12:00-12:45 p.m.
