John Sloan of the Sloan Brothers Band, beloved husband, son, brother, musician and artist, age 35, died July 12, 1993 in Arizona, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born February 18, 1958, to Joseph David and Sarah Louise Elmer Sloan. John's spirit was always carefree, though many things stood in his way. He died not have just one title in life. His talents overflowed and he used them all in many different ways. He wanted so much to be happy but put other's happiness before his own. He loved the outdoors and Elvis Presley. His voice was one of the most beautiful sounds one could ever hear; his artwork precise and his fatherhood precious to him.He leaves behind many loved ones, mother, Sarah Louise Pilling; stepfather, Clarence Pilling; wife, Lori (and unborn child); sons, John F., Jr., and Shane, West Jordan; James D., Bountiful; stepdaughter, Jessica Kay; daughters, Aubrie M., Bountiful; Maggie, Midvale; brothers, David, Bakersfield, Calif.; Tom L., Sandy; sisters, Toni M. Ishmael, Sandy; Sandra K., Murray; seven nephews; four nieces. Preceded in death by father; brother, James D.; niece, Julie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. Interment, American Fork Cemetery.
