David Coulam Frederickson, 82, passed away Friday at his home.
He was born August 29, 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah to David Franklin Frederickson and Ellen Mae Coulam. He married Phyllis Marie Hall May 29, 1936 in Salt Lake, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple March 29, 1954. She died August 27, 1951. He married Wilma Esther Deckard Koplin on March 7, 1952. He worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad as a brakeman and conductor for over 30 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Wilma served a mission in the Dallas, Texas mission in 1976 and 1977. He served as a counselor to two high priest group leaders, worked in the extraction program, and was a veil worker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Survived by his wife, Wilma; his children: David Hall Frederickson (Diana), Robert Hall Frederickson (Joyce), Carol Frederickson Leishman (Larry), Kerris Deckard Koplin (Julie), Mary Frederickson Busby (Don), Michael D. Koplin (Sue). He had 26 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 20, 1993, 12 noon in the Garden Park Ward Chapel, 1150 East Yale Avenue. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Salt Lake, and Tuesday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the church. Burial, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
