Fire on the Mountain, the Stormy Mountain Boys and the Bluegrass Conspiracy headline the second annual Oldtime Fiddle and Bluegrass Festival Friday, July 9, and Saturday, July 10, hosted by Wheeler Historic Farm.
The festival will take place on the Ice Pond Stage, a grass-surfaced amphitheater where audience members may bring blankets for seating.On Friday, activities begin at 7:30 p.m., with evening performances by the three headliner groups. Meanwhile, junior-junior fiddle contests will be going on, as well as a barn dance hosted by the Old Time Fiddlers.
Saturday's events are highlighted by the Utah State Fiddlers and Pickers Contest, with preliminaries scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Finals and the Bluegrass Variety Show will take place from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., with a special Jukebox division at 7 p.m.
Admission is $6 in advance for each day, $7 at the gate. The barn dance is $5. Contest entry fees are $1 for adults, 50 cents for children, ages 3-11. For further information, phone 264-2241.
