Rose Friedrika Aden Winkel, age 86, died July 1, 1993 in Gunnison, Utah of complications from cancer.

She was born April 1, 1907 in Foss, Oklahoma, a daughter of John Frank and Friedrika Jantz Aden. She was married to Claud Gillmore in 1927 in Clinton, Oklahoma. They were later divorced. She married Geert Winkel, February 1, 1941 in Juarez, Mexico; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died April 9, 1980. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as counselor in the Richfield 3rd Ward Relief Society, and for many years she served as Relief Society decorator. She served as president of the Business and Professional Women's Club in Richfield and was honored as Woman of the Year in 1978. Rose loved everyone and was a true friend to all.She is survived by a brother, Adolph Aden of Amarillo, Texas; and sisters, Clara Willsey of El Reno, Okla.; Anna Hofeling of Sterling, Neb.; Esther Aden of Nebraska. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Frank Aden and two sisters, Lena Dovel and Margaret Frickers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 3, 1993, at 3 p.m., in the Richfield 8th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer/Turner Funeral Home, in Richfield, Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel Saturday, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer/Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
