A 16-year-old Salt Lake boy was arrested after threatening the 15-year-old mother of his son with a shotgun July 16, said a Salt Lake County sheriff's report. The boy apparently suspected the girl of being unfaithful.
The boy approached the house, pushed his way past a witness, and went upstairs to where the girl was taking a bath with their 7-month-old son, according to the report. He took a sawed-off shotgun from underneath his coat and threatened to kill her and a male occupant of the house because, he said, they were having an affair. After leaving the bathroom the boy brandished the shotgun before other occupants of the house before driving to his parents' house, where he was later arrested.
The boy is believed to be a member of the Glendale Park Gangsters gang. There are believed to have been other gang members in the car with him.
